Cool Cooks (“we,” “us”) is a recipe website at coolcooks.net. This policy describes what the site does and does not collect today. We do not sell products, process payments, or run live member accounts yet.
1. What we collect
We do not require an account. We do not collect payment information. We do not use Stripe or any other payment processor.
Information that may exist:
What you type in a contact or newsletter form — only if that form is actually connected to email. If the form does not send, we do not receive the message.
Browser storage on your device — the site may save theme (light/dark), language, cookie-banner choice, and any recipes you mark as saved. That data stays in your browser. We do not get a copy of it on our servers.
Normal website logs — our host (Render) and the browser connection over HTTPS may see your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. We do not use that to build marketing profiles.
Login and sign-up screens on the site are not active. Do not submit a real password. We do not operate a working user database.
2. Cookies and similar storage
The cookie banner records your choice in your browser. We do not set advertising cookies and we do not run third-party ad networks.
You can clear site data in your browser settings. The site will still work for reading recipes.
3. How we use information
If you email us or a working form delivers a message, we use that only to reply. Browser storage is used only on your device to remember display preferences or saved recipes.
We do not sell personal data. We do not share it with advertisers.
4. Third parties
The site is hosted on Render. Pages may load fonts from Google Fonts and photos from Unsplash or Pexels. Those companies may see the request for that file, as happens when any website loads an image or font from another server.
We do not use Stripe. If we add payments or real accounts later, we will update this policy before that launch.
5. Children
Cool Cooks is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
6. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Because there are no live accounts or payments, we do not store member passwords or card numbers on our servers.
7. Your choices
You can stop using the site, clear your browser storage, and email us to ask what, if anything, we have from a contact message. There is no account to delete because accounts are not active.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. The new version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. We will not email you unless we later collect email addresses on purpose.
